Following the significant rainfall over Anniversary Weekend, a large section of the hillside behind the Mangawhai Surf Club has subsided, causing significant damage to the back wall of the club. This resulted in a Dangerous Building Notice being issued. This will be in place for some time. For health & safety reasons the clubhouse and surrounding area has been cordoned off by Kaipara District Council.
